Professional Horn Antenna for the 2.1–2.3 GHz Band

The UMH31940 horn antenna was originally developed for professional MMDS (Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service) networks operating in the 2100–2300 MHz band. It was designed for continuous operation on broadcast sites, especially in mountainous regions, where maximum reliability and resistance to harsh weather conditions were essential.

Today, the UMH31940 is used in a wide range of microwave and wireless applications requiring a highly directional antenna with exceptional mechanical durability. It is suitable for private LTE and 5G networks, industrial wireless systems, point-to-point microwave links, research projects, RF testing and other communication systems operating in the 2 GHz frequency range.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The antenna features a fully welded steel construction with a hot-dip galvanized finish, providing outstanding resistance to corrosion, strong winds, snow and ice. A durable radome protects the horn aperture against ice, snow and environmental contamination, ensuring stable electrical performance under severe weather conditions. The horn geometry is also optimized to achieve excellent side-lobe suppression, reducing unwanted radiation and improving overall system performance. Its rugged design makes it particularly well suited for permanent installation on communication towers and masts, including sites exposed to extreme environmental conditions.

High-Power EIA Versions

Versions equipped with EIA flanges are designed for high RF power transmission with very low insertion loss. These models are suitable for high-power broadcasting systems, military communication systems, government and homeland security networks, high-power microwave links, radar installations, electromagnetic testing facilities and other demanding RF applications where continuous operation and maximum reliability are required.

Custom Frequency Versions

Based on customer requirements, RAYTRA also develops and manufactures custom horn antennas optimized for specific frequency bands and applications. Horn antennas can be designed for operation from 1 GHz up to 20 GHz, including high-power versions with EIA flanges or custom waveguide interfaces.
